Theme Parks

Orlando is famous for it's theme parks, indeed it is the reason most people choose to visit Florida. Below is a selection of the most popular parks, all within easy reach of the villa.

Disney Parks

Magic Kingdom Magic Kingdom: The most popular of the four Disney theme parks, Magic Kingdom features the iconic Cinderellas castle centrepice. The park themed lands include Fantasy Land, Tommorrow Land, Frontier Land, Liberty Square and Main Town USA, offering more than enough entertainment for young and old guests.
Epcot Epcot: This futuristic park is divided into two distinct sections. Future World offers an insight into the future focussing on emerging technologies while the World Showcase provides a number of pavillions dedicated to different countries from around the world. The Illuminations firework display held over the World Showcase lake every evening is not to be missed.
MGM Studios MGM Studios: Disney-MGM Studios is the smallest of the Disney parks but is still jam-packed with attractions. High-octane rides include the Twilight Zone 'Tower of Terror' and the 'Rock 'n' Roller Coaster' which are among the best across all the parks. The live action shows are fantastic and not to be missed!
Animal Kingdom Animal Kingdom: Animal Kingdom offers a laid-back yet thoroughly enjoyable day out. The park has less rides than the others and does not stay open after dark but what it lacks in quantity it makes up for in quality. This park is definately worth a trip and the younger members of your group will be captivated by the

Other Theme Parks

Universal Studios Universal Studios: Universal Studios offers a great day out with many high-energy rides and attractions including Spiderman, the Hulk and Back to the Future. It is more compact than the Disney parks which makes for simple navigation.
Busch Gardens Busch Gardens: Busch Gardens is away from the other Orlando attractions in nearby Tampa, which is about a 60 min. drive. Don't let this put you off - it is well worth the journey with it's plethora of world-class roller coasters combined subtly with a menagerie of African species.
Sea World Sea World: Sea World is a cross between a municipal aquarium and action-packed theme park with the expected aquatic displays but unmissable Shamu show and unexpected 'Kraken' roller coaster, the tallest roller coaster in Orlando.
Kennedy Space Center Kennedy Space Center: If you're captivated by space (who isn't) then you must visit the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. Featuring many static exhibits, two IMAX theatres and numerous bus tours, this will be a day out not to forget. If you want to check whether your holiday coincides with a scheduled launch, click here.
